Let’s make a vase using the felting technique. We are going to need an empty bottle (the size doesn’t matter), felting wool – both in tresses and fine-spun (I prefer to use “Semenovskaya” brand), beads around 10 mm in diameter, small beads of a suitable color and thin copper wire.

Wrap the bottle in a thick layer of the fine-spun wool, like you would wrap a baby. Take care not to leave any openings.
Wrap the resulting “cocoon” in “Semenovskaya” wool.
Now it’s time for the process of felting itself. Dilute some liquid soap in a reservoir with hot wate and dip the bottle inside. Or you can spread the soap carefully all over the bottle and wet it generously under a stream of hot water.

Now you need to start rubbing the bottle – at first, carefully so as not to destroy the design, and then apply more and more strength. Do it until the wool fits the bottle perfectly. Squeeze the excessive water from the bottle with a towel, form a bottleneck and put it to dry.
While the vase is drying, you can make the decorative flowers. Make some thin flat disks from the wool. You are going to need two disks for each flower.
Form the flowers from the disks, fix a bead in the middle and decorate with smaller beads stringed on the copper wire.
Fix the flowers to the vase and – Voilá!

P.S. You remember that the base of our vase is a glass bottle, don’t you? That means it can easily be filled with water for natural flowers.
